Cheese Burger on Toast with Mashed Avocado, Sunny Side Egg, Chili Flakes, and Dijonnaise
This recipe combines the timeless deliciousness of a cheeseburger with the creaminess of mashed avocado, a kick of chili flakes, and the tangy flavor of dijonnaise. Here's how to make this mouthwatering dish.
Serves: 2│25 min
Ingredients
2 burger patties (beef or your preferred alternative)
2 slices of your favorite bread
1 ripe avocado
2 eggs
4 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
2 tablespoons chili flakes
2 tablespoons dijonnaise (dijon mustard and mayonnaise combined)
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil or butter for frying
Instructions
Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
Prepare the avocados by cutting them in half, removing the pit, and scooping out the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste and set aside.
In a small skillet, fry the eggs sunny side up, ensuring the yolks remain runny. Set aside.
Season the burger patties with salt and pepper, then cook them on the preheated grill or skillet until desired doneness. Add a slice of cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the bread slices either on a grill or in a toaster.
Once the bread is toasted, spread dijonaisse on each slice and then with a generous amount of mashed avocado.
Place a cheese-topped burger patty on top of two avocado-covered slices of bread.
Place a sunny side-up egg on top of each patty, followed by a sprinkle of chili flakes.
Serve the cheeseburger on toast warm with a side of your choice, such as crispy fries or a refreshing salad.
Enjoy this delightful cheeseburger on toast with the creamy mashed avocado, perfectly runny egg, a touch of heat from the chili flakes, and the tanginess of dijonnaise. It's a flavor combination that will leave your taste buds satisfied and craving more!
